Image Website Design

Creating your company logo

Whether your company is large or small your corporate identity is an important part of the professional image you portray. Very often your logo is the key to ensuring a consistent company image - and your company colour schemes, business cards, letter heads, brochures, website, and all forms of marketing materials will be tied together by your company logo.

We use some of the latest software combined with experience, flair and imagination to create the identity & image you require for your business. We can work from scratch with an open brief, or work with existing or part complete artwork.

Here at Image Website Design, we create logos that capture the essence of your business, leaving impact for both print and web display. If you're looking for a new logo or redesigning your current one for your web site, we can assist you in the decision-making process.
We specialise in both low-resolution (web) and high-resolution (print) graphic images.

The Process

Designing a logo is always a process which involves two parties:- .

  • You will have a preconceived idea of your business, its image, and the corporate identity you want to portray
  • We will have design ideas, and design flair to convert your ideas into a working logo

The art of producing a good logo is to combine your preconceived ideas with our flair and design techniques, to produce a logo which is modern and which gives your business that extra edge above all your competition. We can work from scratch with an open brief, or work with existing or part complete artwork.

The cost of producing Logos is dependant on the work involved

Spend some time thinking about your corporate image, and put your own ideas onto paper.
This will save you time and money, and will provide you with a logo which blends with your business ideas, and which will make you proud every time you see it.

1) Single Colour, two colour, or multicolour

The quantity and types of colour will affect the overall appearance of the logo.
Usually a client will know whether they want to use just one, two, or more colours in their corporate image, and costs can be reduced if exact samples of the colour can be decided in advance.

2) Basic fonts & shapes, or special effects with image overlays

The most basic logos usually consist of just a few letters (e.g. IWD) in a specific colour, and font.
There are thousands of fonts available nowadays - many of which are in the public domain and are free to use. Visit this website to choose a font which you would like to use on your logo - www.dafont.com

A simple logo can be designed using different fonts (e.g. aerial, times new roman, etc.), and basic shapes (e.g. oval, circle, rectangle, square, etc.).
In addition, the different design features can be accentuated, or softened, by adding in special effects e.g. drop shadows, embossing, bevels, glows, 3-D effects, and gradients, while different effects can also be obtained by using a blurred or faded image behind the lettering.

Costs can be increased or decreased depending on the refinement of the logo, and the quantity of work required in adding in special effects to produce the finished image.

3) Preconceived, or Open Brief

It is not often that a client will provide an open brief for a logo design. Most people already have an idea of what they do & don't want, and are able to narrow down the design requirements.
Often a client will show us various logos they have seen and liked, and ask to create their logo along similar lines.
The more specific you can be in your requirements, the lower the logo design costs will be.

Typically, an open brief will cost up to 10 times as much as a preconceived logo
This is because the process of an open open brief requires the formulation of many designs (most of which will later be discarded), followed by several consultations with a client to decide which ideas are suited to the clients personal thoughts.

4) Website, or Printed Material

A logo designed for your website involves different design processes to those used in designing a logo for printed materials (e.g. letterheads, brochures, business cards, marketing etc.).
However, once a logo is produ

for one medium, it can usually be adapted for the other. Our Logo pricing is based on designing the logo for use on a website, or for use in other PC applications. As a guide please add 50% if you require us to produce the logo in a format suitable for use in other marketing materials.

And the cost of creating a website logo ....

If you already have a logo available in high quality printed artwork, then we will usually be able to scan this and use it on your website. We do not make any charge for this.

If you do not have any form of logo that we can use, then we can create a simple logo using text & basic shapes for you - prices start at £75 (provided you can tell us which fonts, colours, and shapes you wish to use).

A logo with more involved shapes, special effects, images etc., will cost from £150 (provided you can tell us which fonts, colours, shapes, etc. you wish to use).

These prices assume that the client will already have clear preconceived ideas, and that we are able to take these ideas to create the logo in our design studio, being able to provide the finished logo after one client consultation. Each client consultation typically adds 25%-50% onto the cost of logo design.
